Shri Krishna Byre Gowda, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Indian National Congress, in Karnataka, organized a felicitation ceremony to honor the contributions of Reach Lives, a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Bengaluru, in providing crucial support to the community during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event, held on 4 March 2023, celebrated Reach Lives' remarkable efforts in extending assistance to those in need.
As the world grappled with the unprecedented impact of the pandemic, Reach Lives gathered volunteers, proactively addressing the healthcare and humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable populations. Led by its dedicated team and guided by a steadfast commitment to social welfare, Reach Lives worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being and safety of individuals and families facing the brunt of the crisis. Reach Lives responded swiftly by implementing impactful initiatives to mitigate the adverse effects of the pandemic. The organization distributed over Rs. 80 lakh worth of emergency health supplies and rations, offering much-needed relief to individuals and families facing dire circumstances. Moreover, they actively engaged in health education campaigns, reaching out to and empowering over 10,000 individuals with vital information on health and safety protocols.
The felicitation ceremony, presided over by Shri Krishna Byre Gowda, paid tribute to the vision, resilience, and compassion displayed by Reach Lives and its chairperson, Ms. Mini Mohan, throughout the pandemic. The event was meant to recognize the efforts of women leaders in Bengaluru.
